Cancer is unrestricted proliferation of cell type in an organ, usually manifested as tumour. it is not Unrestricted at one site but may have dissemination to other areas, most common being lymph nodes. hence cancer surgery involves technique of radical removal of tumour bearing part of organ along with its lymph vascular spread in such a way that cancer cell left in situ could be as minimum as zero. such special branch of surgery is surgical oncology that uses anatomical knowledge, latest surgical technology and advent of chemotherapy and radiation before or during the surgery too.
